Vaalkop

Overview

The Vaalkop Project is Lukin’s priority South African asset and includes the Salt River polymetallic deposit that hosts a JORC resources (1% Zn cut-off) of 24 Mt at 1.8% Zn, 0.58% Cu, 0.59 g/t Au, 0.43% Pb and 19.9 g/t Ag, including 10 Mt at 2.35% Zn, 0.61% Cu, 0.46 g/t Au, 0.59% Pb and 27 g/t Ag (2% Zn cut-off).

Tenements

The Vaalkop Project, which includes the Salt River deposit, is a single granted Prospecting Right, namely NC 30/5/1/1/2/12039 PR, which covers the commodities copper (Cu), lead (Pb), zinc (Zn), gold (Au) and silver (Ag) over an area of 50.4 km2. Lukin Resources has a 74% interest in Vaalkop, via the South African subsidiary Malmani Resources (Pty) Ltd. 

Location and Access

Vaalkop is located in the Northern Cape Province, South Africa, 80 km southeast of the town Pofadder and 150km southwest of the regional central Upington (Figure 10). Access to the project is via the Pofadder-Kendhardt Road, an unpaved road that crosses the tenement and a network of farm tracks.
